For this table’s design, we decided on Ash to give it a lighter grain and a brighter feel. What came through in the end was more than we ever imagined, The Teni feels like an undeniably sharp and clean piece of furniture. Not sharp like, cut yourself sharp, don’t worry…we sanded the edges!

Just like every other table, desk, or other furniture that leaves the Parkman Woodworks workshop, we made this table with 100% environmentally-friendly materials. Only locally-harvested Ash and never from a tree farreserves beauty instead of destroying it.

With the contemporary design, we knew we had to go for an Ash table top and a black steel base, so we did. We constructed the base with 2 inch by 1 inch steel tube with a black powder coating. Visually, it looks like two tall A’s that the table top takes a bite out of. In between, for both style and stability, we put a single cross brace. In our opinion? Pretty cool. But we let you serve as the judge on this one.

We surfaced the Ash table top and decided that 1.5 inches was the proper thickness for this table. For the finishing touches, we used a hard-wax oil to protect the beauty and structure of the Ash. To Teni, (the person, not the table), thanks for bringing us such an awesome design.
